After the Independence of India in 1947 British Indian coins were in use till 1950 because there is no own idea to make it because the British coin was used earlier. After the republic in 1950. The first Indian coins of the Republic of India was launched in 1950 which includes "1/4 rupee,1/2 rupee,1 Anna,1/2 anna,2 annas,1 pice coins to take out the value of coin were divided from rupees with annas like 1ruppe =16 annas=64pice and 1 anna = 4 pice. New coins were printed or make in 1964 which is also called Naya Paisa the new coin made was 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50 paise and one rupee. The coin 20 Paisa was made in 1968 but these coins didn't get much popularity. and In 1982 a new 2 rupee coin was introduced experimentally to replace 2 rupee notes. In 1988 the stainless steel coin was made of 10,20 and 50 Paisa and after that, the new coin of Ruppe of Stainless Steel was introduced in 1992.
On 16January 1950 India became a sovereign republic country which was led our country to the success and on 15 August 1950 the golden or our country Coinage was started and The British King's symbol was replaced by the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar.And 1re coin was shaded with a lion on its and Indian government removed the tiger from every coin and put Indian lion on it.
